Building the Local Energy Workforce
The Box Canyon Solar Project in Pinal County, Arizona, partnered with Central Arizona College to fund a five-year scholarship program supporting 10 students annually in completing the Commercial Electrician Installer Program. The initiative expands access to skilled-trades education, develops local talent, and helps create a workforce positioned to benefit from the region’s growing energy economy.
Preparing First Responders Through Specialized Training
At the Greenwater Battery Storage Project in Pierce County, Washington, BrightNight worked with the East Pierce County Fire Department to identify its needs and provide specialized, expert-led emergency response training. The training supports better emergency response while providing a meaningful way to support the local community.
Connecting Local Farms with Families in Need
Through the Gage Solar Project in Ballard County, Kentucky, BrightNight partnered with Magney Legacy Ridge Farm and a local food bank to establish regular deliveries of fresh produce for community members experiencing food insecurity. The partnership increased access to nutritious food while giving a local farm a stable market for its produce, supporting both families and the local agricultural economy.
Protecting Native Plants and Restoring Habitat
Before construction of the Box Canyon Solar Project in Pinal County, Arizona, BrightNight partnered with local organizations to relocate mature saguaros and replant native ground cover in burn-scarred areas. The effort conserved native species, restored habitat, reduced erosion risk, and put environmental stewardship into action alongside the local community.
Equipping First Responders for Emergencies
Through the Dutchman Renewable Power Project in Converse County, Wyoming, BrightNight responded to feedback from local first responders by donating an advanced drone to Converse County Search and Rescue. The equipment strengthened emergency preparedness and response capabilities, helping first responders better serve and protect the broader community.
